Equipment, containers, sets, accessories
The fields of individual items.
Reviewed 2026-09-05
The four types counted as pieces: equipment, containers, sets and accessories. Their forms are almost identical, so the shared fields are described first and then what each adds.
The shared fields
All four types have the same sections, in the same order:
- Main Categoryrequired — From the fixed vocabulary. Reports group by it.
- Subcategoryrequired — Depends on the main category.
- Item Namerequired — What people call it, not what is printed on the box.
- Brand / Manufacturer — —
- Model — —
- Serial — The manufacturer's serial. Not the ToolFlux code, which is generated for you.
- Status — Functional, Broken, Repaired, Scrapped, Missing.
- Visual Condition — New, Good, Damaged, Dirty. Independent of status.
- Price — Purchase value. Worth filling in — without it neither the value reports nor the flagging of unprofitable tools work.
- Logistics Node (Destination)required — Where it sits. With no location created, the screen does not even open.
- Section / Row — Position in the warehouse. Free text — „C3", „shelf 2".
- General Notes — Free-form observations.
- Photo — From the gallery or the camera.
ADD EQUIPMENT
Where · Inventory → + Add → equipment.
The shared form above, with no extra fields. The scan button in the header reads the manufacturer's barcode and can pre-fill the name and brand.Plus
On reaching the plan limit, adding stops with a dialog offering a higher plan.
ADD PHYSICAL CONTAINER
Where · Inventory → + Add → container.
The shared form. Plus What differs comes after saving: the container gets a contents screen from which items are assigned to it.
Add a logical set
Where · Inventory → + Add → set.
The shared form, plus a set name. Plus The difference from a container is conceptual, not technical: a set groups things that travel together without living together.
ADD ACCESSORY
Where · Inventory → + Add → accessory.
The shared form. An accessory can be tied to a parent tool — the battery belongs to the driver — and then follows it on handover.
An item's details
Where · Inventory → tap the item. Or scan its code.
The screen almost everything about an object is done from:
- Assign / Receive — Handover and return, with signatures. Chapter 04.
- Request here — A transfer request towards your location, if the item is elsewhere.
- Send to service — Provider, date, fault category, description. Plus
- Schedule service — Date and repeat interval. Pro
- Code label — Shows the QR or barcode, ready to print.
- History — Every movement, with the signed records attached.
- Contents — Containers and sets only: what is inside, with adding and removing.
